Construction of an irrigated Natural Floodlit ‘premier’ pitch, Full size Floodlit 3G synthetic pitch and 3 full size natural pitches.
The Bradley Road project, which is funded by North East Lincolnshire Council, Football Association and Football Foundation and comprises of the construction of state of the art pitches and a new Pavilion. Agripower were awarded the pitch contract in late August and mobilised and commenced works in early September. Excellent progress has been achieved on site largely due to the in house resources of equipment and manpower. To date Agripower have stripped the topsoil off all working areas, carried out subsoil grading, replaced topsoil, installed drainage, irrigation, concrete edgings, floodlight column bases ducting and cables and seeded the Natural premier pitch in under a month.
The synthetic pitch is also well ahead of schedule and works to date include topsoil stripped, subsoil graded, drains installed, stone formation laid, edgings, floodlight bases path surrounds and fencing is currently being installed.
Grant Holmes Director of Agripower commented
“Our intention was to hit the ground running and endeavour to complete the bulk of works before the onset of winter. Whilst the weather has been mostly favourable, the real credit has to be given to our staff that have really pulled out all the stopsâ€
